Matt Centrowitz, who recently won the men’s 1,500 meters race at the 2016 Rio Olympics, says he plans on competing in the next two Olympics.

At Rio’s 2016 Olympics, Centrowitz brought home the gold medal for the 1,500-meter race, making him the first American to do so in over 100 years. A second-generation Olympian, Centrowitz previously competed in the 2012 Olympics held in London, where he placed fourth in the 1,500-meter competition.

Speaking at a press event in Washington, D.C., the Maryland native revealed plans to compete at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, and the 2024 Olympics, whose host city is undecided. Centrowitz also noted his plans to run more 5K races, considering the event for the 2020 Olympics.

Centrowitz said that as the reigning champion, he looks forward to the greater expectations and attention that comes with the title.
